A new curvature-corrected CMOS bandgap voltage reference

چکیده
The current paper presents an improved bandgap voltage reference (BGR) that utilizes curvature-corrected current generators which compensate for the voltage reference at lower and higher temperature range. The voltage reference is operated with a supply voltage of 2.5V to achieve an output reference of 1.1835V. The temperature coefficient achieved from the circuit is 1.342 ppm/◦C, resulting from temperature changes between −50◦C to 125◦C, sixfold improvement from first-order BGR. The proposed circuit is simulated using Silterra 0.13μm CMOS technology.

An improvement of a piecewise curvature-corrected CMOS bandgap reference
In the current paper, an improvement of piecewise curvature-corrected CMOS bandgap reference (BGR) circuit is proposed. The circuit utilizes piecewise nonlinear curvature-corrected current (PNCCC) in a conventional BGR with a current control circuit, which compensates for the voltage reference at a higher temperature range. The current control circuit (CCC) is used to reduce the total current a...
متن کاملA 1.6 ppm/°C bandgap voltage reference for an extended operating temperature range
A new CMOS bandgap voltage reference (BGR) is proposed and simulated using Silterra 0.13 μm CMOS technology. The proposed BGR utilizes 3 curvature-corrected current generators that compensate for the output voltage variation in an extended temperature range. The proposed circuit generates an output voltage of 1.181 V with a variation of 380 μV from !50 °C to 150 °C.
متن کاملA 1.1 V Current-Mode and Piecewise-Linear Curvature Corrected Bandgap Reference
A low voltage, micro-power, curvature-corrected bandgap reference is presented that is capable of working down to input voltages of 1.1 V in a relatively inexpensive process, MOSIS 2 μm technology. This is a vanilla N-well CMOS process technology with an added P-base layer. Second order curvature correction for this reference is accomplished by a versatile piecewise-linear currentmode technique...
متن کاملAdvances in Radio Science A curvature-corrected CMOS bandgap reference
This paper presents a CMOS bandgap reference that employs a curvature correction technique for compensating the nonlinear voltage temperature dependence of a diode connected BJT. The proposed circuit cancels the first and the second order terms in the VBE(T ) expansion by using the current of an autopolarized Widlar source and a small correction current generated by a MOSFET biased in weak inve...
متن کاملA Curvature-Corrected Low-Voltage Bandgap Reference
A new curvature-corrected bandgap reference is presented which is able to function at supply voltages as low as 1 V, at a supply current of only 100 PA. After trimming this bandgap reference has a temperature coefficient (TC) of +4 ppm/OC. The reference voltage is about 200 mV and it can simply be adjusted to higher reference voltages, The temperature range of this circuit is from O to 125” C. ...
